Game Day information for DHL Stormers URC season opener

The DHL Stormers kick off a new era this Friday with a rebranded identity, a new logo and a kit paying homage to its history. The City would like to advise spectators on parking arrangements and other logistics for game day.
The DHL Stormers open the new United Rugby Championship season against defending champions Leinster at DHL Stadium on Friday, 26 September.
Scheduled for a 19:00 kick off, the gates at DHL Stadium will open at 17:00.
Due to limited parking in the Green Point Precinct, fans are encouraged to park in the CBD, hop on a free MyCiTi shuttle or take the Fan Walk to the stadium.
The free MyCiTi shuttle service will operate exclusively for ticket holders, running from the CTICC, Civic Centre and Thibault Square stations to the stadium from 16:30.
The last bus back from the stadium is at 23:00.

The City, together with the organisers, will have services in place to help ensure a safe and smooth matchday experience. The MyCiTi shuttle is a reliable way to beat traffic during the season. With a dedicated lane to the stadium, it will get you to the game quicker. We call on the Faithful to fill the stands for this URC season opener and usher in a new era for the Stormers together,’ said Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, Alderman JP Smith.
For spectators taking the bus, parking will be available at the Civic Centre from 16:00.
The parking bays, accessible from Hertzog Boulevard incoming and on Civic Road, will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Paid parking is also available at the CTICC, Parkalot on Jack Craig Street and at the Harbour Arch on Harbour Arch Boulevard.
Tickets for the game are available at Ticketmaster.
Road closures
Residents and motorists are advised of temporary road closures in the Green Point Precinct and surrounds on Friday afternoon until after the game.
This includes Fritz Sonnenberg Road, Stephen Way, Helen Suzman at the Green Point Circle and Granger Bay Boulevard.
